How do I know if my knee pain is arthritis or not?
January 20th, 2009 by admin
I started having pain at work Memorial day weekend–I do alot of lifting, bending, standing….it doesn't hurt in the a.m…
There are over 100 types of arthritis, so to get to the real answer may require some digging. x-rays and blood tests can rule out most kinds.
Even if arthritis is discovered, the most common prescription is Motrin or Naprosyn a few times a day, plus ice packs.
You could be lucky. It might just be weak muscles on the side of the knee, for which you can do physical therapy. Either way, good luck.

see your doctor…no one here can really tell you unless they see themselves

call your doctor and have him/her send you for x-rays - that's the only definite way you'll know if it's arthritis or if you injured it in some other way

You could have strained the muscles or ligaments in your legs. Go see your doctor and they can run some tests to let you know for sure.
