Knee support for arthritis knees?

January 30th, 2009 by admin

My dad is 65 and recently started having joint pain because of arthritis. Its mainly located in knee joints. If you have any experience with knee supports, would you reply which ones suited you most and why. I will be flying to meet my dad soon and I want to give it to him at that time. So pls reply. Thanks. I appreciate your answers.

I personally haven't but my partner has. I got him a magnetic knee support and he said it has helped a lot, not got rid of the pain completely but eased it. He has also started on fish oil and glucosamine tablets as they are very beneficial with arthritic pain and are not a drug.
Before that i just got a sports wrap from the chemist which didn't really help as its more for joint pain due to muscle injury but the magnetic ones are great for arthritic pain, good luck and i hope you find them, i got mine from the chemist.

What kind of doctor could advise on advanced arthritis in the knee?

January 26th, 2009 by admin

An orthopedic surgeon only seems interested in joint replacement, and my mom is likely too old to be a good candidate. However, she would like to maintain as much mobility as possible, and I want her pain to be managed as best as can be. But where do we go for answers?

A rheumatologist should be able to advise you about medical management of joint disease (and recommend timing of surgical intervention if warranted). There could be a significant contribution to wellbeing through the use of an exercise program or physiotherapy.

2-RT: CARPAL /KNEE SYNDROME (Arthritis)

January 25th, 2009 by admin

Realignment therapy discovers that Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (Arthritis) is a circulatory problem caused by the obstructing right or left shoulder ball joints (causal spots). Mild realignment surgery at causal spots is the permanent the therapeutic cure. Fatty and high containing yoric acid food (i.e. peanuts, beans, etc) may aggravate the painful sensation of all arthritic patients. On the other hand, causal spots for knee/s arthritis are found in the side ribs(left or right) under the armpit/s and back portion of the scapular area/s. Their mild realignment has curative effect/s.

how to cope with arthritis after knee sugery?

January 24th, 2009 by admin

i have just been told that i have early stages of arthritis in my knee do to knee sugery.

i'm not sure what kind of arthritis it is yet.

i would like to know how to cope with it?

I suffer from the same thing and have also been told that at least every three to four years I will have to go in and have scar tissue removed. Icy Hot helps out a lot as does alternating ice and heat. Aleve also helps to relieve the discomfort and you can get prescription anti-inflamatory drugs as well. Excersice does help just don't do a lot of impact stuff that puts strain on the knees ( walk don't run, gazelle over treadmill etc.) It will gradually get worse so prepare yourself. When you are feeling stiff and sore don't lay up go for a walk and keep the joint loose if you lay up it will stiffen up and become more painful.

What is the best remedy for arthritis pain in the knee? Does it really normally come and go?

January 22nd, 2009 by admin

I can't determine which of what I'm doing makes the pain go away for days after it attacks for few days. I do therapy but it recurred. I put warm bag/warm compress on my lower back now and I use some natural therapy cream made of ginger, virgin coconut oil and peppermint which seems to have stopped the pain so far. I don't know if it's just the nature of arthritis that it stops then recurs at any given time and I don't know anymore whether what i'm doing now is the one that makes the pain stop.

here I found some arthritis treatment
